Delegates to the CUPE National Sector Conference were taken on a guided tour of the 1919 Winnipeg General Strike led by MFUR President Paul Moist.

Over 200 delegates in 6 buses explored the key areas and conditions that sparked the Winnipeg General Strike of 1919.

The Winnipeg General Strike of 1919 was a landmark moment in North American working-class history.  On May 15, 1919 , over 30,000 Winnipeggers walked off the job for six weeks.
